The Eikon Exhibition Centre is a multi-million pound Exhibition & Events venue situated in the heart of Northern Ireland at Eikon, Balmoral Park, Sprucefield, Lisburn
Works included the installation of a Proposed Pumping Station, Mascerator and included all Civil Engineering works associated with getting electrical and water services from the main Pavilion Structure to the Pumping Station approximately 230metres from the Pavilion.
Works included the installation of ducting for electrics, manholes every 50 metres and change of direction, connection of electrics in the pumping station kiosk and the buzz bar in the main Pavilion Electrical Switchroom and all Commissioning of equipment.
Precast Chambers were installed to house the Pumps and Mascerator and were a depth of up to 4 metres deep which proved challenging given that the ground consisted of running sand.
The pumping station was completed by providing a concrete plinth and erecting a fence around the perimeter of the plinth to protect the electrical kiosk from impact with on-site traffic.
