David Green
Managing Director
D G GREEN & SONS was founded by David on 17th January 1993 with a focus on co-operation, innovation, quality, safety, attention to detail, and value for money for his customers. David has more than 40 years experience of working in the Construction industry.
He remains active in the day-to-day management of the business and is closely involved in top-level customer management and relationship-building.
His roles also include managing site works and ensuring contracts are completed safely, on time and meet all applicable regulations.
Before works commence, David is directly involved in discussing plans with architects, surveyors and buyers as well as the planning of work schedules. He is also involved with progress reports on individual projects.
Richard Green
Commerical Director/Senior Estimator
Richard qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Biology from Queen’s University, Belfast in 2006. He since has acquired a wealth of experience within the Construction industry from his time working for the company.
Richard’s current role is that of Commercial Director/Senior Estimator, his role within the company involves Estimating, Pricing and Tender Submissions, Cost Plans and Contracts Negotiation, Preparation of Interim Payment Valuations and Final Accounts, Cost Control and Value Engineering on Company Projects.
He is also responsible for overseeing the company’s 3rd Party Environmental Accreditation – ISO 14001. Richard plays a key role in ensuring all relevant Environmental Management issues remain at the forefront of contracts undertaken by D G Green & Sons and ensures current Environmental Legislation is adhered to during all company activities.
Richard is currently working towards the CIOB –
Chartered Membership Programme (CMP).
Philip Green
Director/Senior Contracts Manager
Philip’s role includes the overseeing of all site preparations before the commencement of the Construction Phase.
With a NVQ Level 4 Diploma in Construction Site Supervision he is responsible for the supervision of company projects, reports regularly on progress, and ensures all aspects of the company obligations during the Construction Phase are in line with customer requirements, agreed specifications, and completion of targets that meet all the standards set by the rigorous Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies of D G GREEN & SONS.
Philip is directly involved in liaising with clients, professional staff (such as architects and surveyors) and the public.
As Contracts Manager his role further involves organising Subcontractors, undertaking safety inspections ensuring construction and site safety, checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings.
Maureen Green
Administration Director
Maureen was a founding partner of the predecessor business. She now leads and manages the Accounts team in all aspects of the financial and administrative functions of the organisation. She is responsible for the workload of the Finance and Administration teams on a day-to-day basis, ensuring the efficient and professional operation of all office functions.
Her role also includes maintaining good relationships with specific customers, suppliers and sub-contractors. Additionally, Maureen is the relationship manager for the business with all the key financial and statutory organisations.
