We were delighted to have the opportunity to work alongside the staff from Argento and provide necessary Builders attendances to the historic Ormiston Pool in the east of the city. Europe’s largest natural swimming pool has been transformed into a water sports facility for the local community in Belfast thanks to a £500,000 investment.
The pool dates back to the 1920s and is one of the few outdoor pools left in Northern Ireland. It was built by Campbell College for school swimming lessons and sports but had fallen into disrepair after the estate in which it is located was sold in 1996.
However, the pool is soon to be re-opened for a series of summer schemes and courses. Sourced from a bore well, the Ormiston Pool contains no chemicals or chlorine.
