Works involved creating openings at High Level throughout Levels 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 of the University of Ulster, Belfast Campus for proposed wall transfer grilles.
All openings were fitted with a Fire Damper by others and Firestopped and re-decorated as part of our works. Openings for ducting for extraction systems were also created and again once fitted by others firestopped and re-decorated as part of our works. The ducting was all routed to the riser where it travelled to the roof for extraction.
Our works included the supply and fitting of GRP support beams where the ducting passed through the footwells in the riser. Roofworks involved cutting through Precast Hollowcore Units whereby more steel supports were fitted to structurally support the proposed openings. The roofing system was weatherproofed and re-sealed apon completion and fitting of the ducting hood.
