The 5-week contract involved remedial works on a total of nine properties on Gray’s Hill. The works addressed issues of safety, security and aesthetics. Works included the dismantling of existing chimneys, refurbishing roofs and undertaking water-tight repairs to all openings.
Corrective works were carried out to repair/replace rainwater goods and dispose of surplus vegetation and general builders’ waste.
Windows and External Doors: block up external doors in masonry; block up ground floor windows in masonry; block windows to upper floors of the front elevation in plywood; apply stencils/templates to all windows and doors on the front elevation; and repair work to end gable of two-storey dwelling.
In addition, repair, render and redecorate front elevation and ensure the removal of asbestos.
